I have never been one to support or recommend specific diets to my clients. However, I do know that some people succeed with a little more structure when it comes to changing eating habits. If you decide to try a specific diet ask yourself, "Do I see myself eating this way a year from now?" If the answer is yes, it is probably an eating plan you can stick with long term. The American Council on Exercise posted the following diets as America's Top 5 diets. If you need a little kick start, check them out and decide if they are compatible with your goals and lifestyle.

1. Dash Diet

2. TLC Diet

3. Mayo Clinic Diet

4. Mediterranean Diet

5. Weight Watchers Diet
